SkatePro is using Altapay and Braintree as a transaction-gateway. Both Altapay and Braintree are certified by the key security standard within the payments industry (PCI DSS certified as Level 1 Service Providers). They also comply with the European Union regulation applicable to the provision of payment services (Directive EU 2015/2366).

All info you provide in checkout is encrypted with 256bit SSL. The payment details can only be read by Altapay/Braintree, meaning that SkatePro can never see your credit card details.

The amount of your payment is reserved by Altapay/Braintree, and is only deducted from your account, once your order is shipped. SkatePro can never charge more than the amount of your purchase.

Paying with your card

If you choose to use your card to pay online, you are better secured than in the physical world:

• You can have your bank reject a payment when you receive your payment summary.
• You are not liable if your card is misused in an online store.
