Is it Necessary to Use Traction Pads for Skimboarding?

Using traction pads on your skimboard significantly enhances foot grip and control while skimboarding. Some opt for just skimboard wax on the board's surface, but to optimise grip, traction pads are indispensable. Although wax provides a decent level of grip, traction pads are more durable and aid in helping your feet discern their position on the board.

Skimboarding is most enjoyable in sunny weather; however, ensure you safeguard your skin from UV rays by wearing Rash Guards. On chilly days, donning a wetsuit is highly recommended.
