Klister Wax
Klister Wax: The Ultimate Sticky Kick Wax
Designed for enhanced grip on snow, klister wax is a form of kick wax that excels in providing extra traction. In conditions where the snow is especially icy or wet, standard kick wax may struggle to hold the snow effectively, but applying klister ski wax over the top can significantly improve grip. Various klister waxes are suited for different temperature ranges, so it's essential to select a wax that matches the temperatures you will encounter while skiing.
Applying Klister Wax
Packaged in a tube akin to a toothpaste tube, the wax should be applied by dabbing small amounts onto the kick zone directly beneath the bindings, ensuring each side of the skis' groove is treated (approximately 1 cm apart). After application, use a scraper, waxing iron, or even your thumb to distribute the wax throughout the grip zone, forming a thin layer. Once smoothened, allow it to cool before you embark on your skiing adventure. Alternatively, you can opt for klister spray wax, which offers a quicker and simpler method.
