Aggressive Skates Frames / UFS Frames
Aggressive Inline Frames Designed for Grinding
Aggressive frames represent one of the most crucial components of your setup. They not only secure the wheels but also serve as the surface you grind on while skating—an essential aspect of the sport. Typically, frames are constructed of thick-walled plastics to withstand the heavy impacts associated with grinding.
All aggressive frames are crafted to accommodate the Universal Frame System (UFS) for mounting, ensuring compatibility with all aggressive boots irrespective of the brand. With UFS frames, customising your aggressive skate becomes significantly easier and more convenient.
Varieties of Aggressive Skate Frames
Various designs exist for aggressive inline skate frames, yet the three primary styles are anti-rocker, flat, and freestyle.
Anti-Rocker
Anti-rocker frames are the most prevalent style, generally recommended for beginners in aggressive skating. Each frame features four wheels, but the middle two are smaller and composed of hard plastic. This design creates space for a substantial groove in the centre for grinding.
Flat
Flat frames support four wheels of uniform size. Unlike the anti-rocker system, every wheel contacts the ground. This setup provides the finest handling among all options, ideal for bowl skating and transition skating. With even weight distribution, your wheels tend to have a longer lifespan.
Freestyle
Freestyle frames are distinguished by having only two wheels per foot, resulting in a significant groove in the centre. This design optimises the frames for grinding and prevents wheel bite, enabling grinding across a broader range of obstacles.
Whichever frame style you choose, ensuring it can accommodate your wheels is essential. If you're searching for a new set of wheels for your aggressive setup, visit our Aggressive Skate Wheels page.
